October Meeting 2024

Center for Indonesian Medical Students’ Activities (CIMSA) is a space for Indonesian medical students to engage in various activities in order to create an improvement and acceleration of the nation’s health in the future.
CIMSA has 3 national meetings (National Meeting) that are routinely held every year, namely October Meeting (OM), National Leadership Summit (NLS), and May Meeting (MM). Each of these meetings has their own focus and characteristics. The National Meeting is also an event to increase the spirit of members and a sense of belonging to CIMSA.
The October Meeting of CIMSA Indonesia which is often abbreviated as OM is routinely held in October every year. OM is the first National Meeting at the beginning of the management of National Officials who have been elected and legally served. At the October Meeting, a picture of CIMSA will be presented in the next year, what kind of focus CIMSA will achieve, and what big goals will be achieved. The October Meeting is also an event for local introduction and bonding with the management of the new National Officials.
On October 24 – 27, 2024, there was one of the CIMSA national meetings in the city of Purwokerto, an honor for us CIMSA UMP as the host of the October Meeting 2024, October Meeting 2024 was attended by 34 local and 2 observers. This October Meeting 2024 will be held at Meotel Purwokerto. The theme of October Meeting 2024 is “Youth-Driven Health System Transformation: Building Resilience for the Future”.
Throughout the four-day event, participants engaged in a variety of activities designed to enhance their knowledge, skills, and networks. The event began with the Newcomers Session, introducing first-time attendees to CIMSA’s structure and vision, followed by a warm Welcoming Party to foster connections. The Grand Lecture and Press Conference featured esteemed speakers discussing pressing health issues. Participants honed their abilities in the Training Sessions, while the SCO Issue Update provided insights into each Standing Committee’s progress. Decision-making and discussions took place in the Plenary Session, Parallel Session, and Regional Session, shaping CIMSA’s future direction. The ComDev Corner showcased impactful community development projects, and the Activity Presentation allowed locals to share their best initiatives. In the evenings, attendees enjoyed the Cultural Night, celebrating Indonesia’s rich diversity, and explored creative souvenirs at the Merchandise Expo. The event concluded with a heartfelt Farewell Party, marking the end of a successful and inspiring October Meeting 2024.
