Our Values

Being Empowered and Empowering

We are empowered and empower others through activities by thinking globally and act locally. Thus, everybody can be proactive in identifying needs, making choices, generating plans, and transforming those plans into actions.

Upholding inclusivity, we are committed to create a justly visible, heard, considered, and respected atmosphere. We network by involving medical students, communities, and stakeholders to synergize in actualizing movement towards the creation of healthier Indonesia.

We provide a platform for accommodating medical students to actively grow their potential and interests, deliver their voices, design strategies, and engender movements aimed at enhancing the nation's health and well-being. We shape the ideas, bring aspirations, initiate solutions, and turn into impactful activities. We aim to play a part in making a difference in our communities.

We bring continuous effort channeled into our actions that benefit positive impact towards our communities. We plan, implement, and evaluate our efforts leading to a healthier Indonesia and world. We aspire to help generations meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

The innovative milieu grounded in our organization stimulates medical students to discern, deliver, debate, and delineate new insights and initiatives with evidence-based approach for improving the nation's health. We embed the evidence-based approach in all the ways our organizations work particularly in conducting activities.

IFMSA

The International Federation of Medical Students’ Association (IFMSA) is a non-profit, non-governmental, and non-partisan organization representing medical student associations worldwide. Founded in 1951, it is the oldest medical student organization, connecting 139 organizations across 130 countries. IFMSA is divided into five regions: Asia-Pacific (where Indonesia belongs), Americas, Eastern Mediterranean, Africa, and Europe.

Its work focuses on six main areas: medical education, sexual and reproductive health and rights, human rights and peace, public health, professional exchange, and research exchange. Every year, IFMSA organizes over 13,000 clinical and research exchange programs. It is officially recognized by the United Nations and works with global health bodies such as WHO, UNESCO, UNAIDS, UNHCR, UNFPA, and the World Medical Association (WMA). This ensures that IFMSA is seen as a key partner in global and local health issues.

Members of IFMSA are called National Member Organizations (NMO), and Indonesia is represented by one medical student organization, NMO CIMSA Indonesia.
