NMO-President CIMSA-Indonesia 2024/2025
This March Meeting 2025 was nothing short of special. Hosted by the Executive Board (EB) of IFMSA, Istanbul warmly welcomed delegates from all over the world, despite this year’s unique hybrid format. Only the Presidents’ Session was held offline, while the rest of the sessions continued online, ensuring inclusivity and flexibility for all participants.
Due to current circumstances, delegations were intentionally limited to only 3–5 representatives per NMO. However, the spirit of camaraderie, vibrant discussions, and unforgettable moments remained strong. Istanbul, with its timeless charm and breathtaking beauty, became the perfect backdrop for a meeting full of insights and connections.
One of the biggest highlights was the election of the next IFMSA Executive Board for the term 2025/2026. We are thrilled and proud to announce that Aufa Fathya from CIMSA-Indonesia was elected as the Vice President for Public Relations and Communication (VPPRC) of IFMSA 25/26 which is a historic achievement for CIMSA and Indonesia!
The President’s Session itself was intense yet inspiring. We delved deep into discussions on global conflicts, the role of medical students amidst political unrest, and the challenges facing healthcare systems today. These debates reminded us that IFMSA is not just about academic excellence but also about unity, resilience, and advocacy for a better world.
Throughout the sessions, we faced IFMSA’s internal challenges together as one team, reinforcing the essence of solidarity. Even with most of us attending virtually, the warmth and energy of the March Meeting remained palpable, connecting hearts across screens and across continents.
We shared not just professional insights but also laughs, support, and dreams for the future of medical students worldwide. Istanbul didn’t just host an event; it became a place where leaders were born, friendships were strengthened, and visions for a brighter future were shaped.
March Meeting 2025 will forever be remembered as a time of growth, change, and hope. It was a privilege to witness history unfold and to bring home valuable experiences to elevate CIMSA further.
