SCORA&SCORP MSCIA UB
WONDER (Maintain Women's Power Against Violence and Sexual Harassment) is an event held by DORP and DORA MSCIA UB on celebrating International Women's Day. Based on the result of a questionnaire-based assessment distributed to 83 responders, with 98.8% of the responders range in the ages of 17-25, it was found that 59% of responders said they had never encountered sexual harassment cases amid the pandemic. Only 25.3% of responders admitted to encounter sexual harassment cases amid the pandemic. WONDER is an event which aims to disseminate and educate medical students from Medicine Faculty and other society about sexual harassment especially during the pandemic in Indonesia. WONDER also aims to increase participants' knowledge about the prevention and reporting flow when acts of sexual harassment occur in the surroundings, rape culture, and ways in dealing with social stigma against victims.
On February 28th, 2021, the WONDER webinar began with "Sexual Harassment During Covid-19 Pandemic" by Woman Crisis Centre (WCC) and followed with "Legal Perspectives on Sexual Harassment Against Women in Indonesia" by KOMNAS PEREMPUAN. There was also a talk show about “Get to Know Abusive Relationship” with the founder of HelpNona and Dian Aditya Ning Lestari as the survivor of sexual harassment.
WONDER has “We Hear You” as a special session for participants to share their experience regarding sexual harassment and violence that they might have been through. These stories will be discussed and given feedback by Yayasan Pulih Indonesia on the podcast “Victim: How to Deal With Social Stigma," which will be released on March 5th, 2021. For the final session, all participants took a picture while holding a written paper saying '#EndRapeCulture’ and filled out the petition.
Throughout the WONDER series, including webinars and campaigns, WONDER has collected 215 participants at the Zoom meeting along with 958 other viewers on Youtube live streaming. On the "We Hear You" session, 58 people participated in filling in the distributed Google Form, and the podcast has been released on March 5th. Several educational mini-games in the form of Find the Words and Myth & Facts were also published on @msciaub’s snapgram. The air campaign video “From Us to Women Around The World" received 160 viewers on YouTube and 523 viewers on Instagram. WONDER also successfully conducted a mapping of 13 hotlines consisting of GOs and NGOs and 121 signers of the #EndRapeCulture petition.
