(World Mental Health Day-Raising Awareness of Mental Health)

On October 31st & November 1st, 2020, SCOPH CIMSA FK UNS held two days events to celebrate World Mental Health Day (WMHD). The activities we carried out are called RAMEN (Raising Awareness of Mental Health).
RAMEN raised the topic 'Addressing Mental Health Issues in Collage Students during COVID-19 Pandemic'. Based on the assessments result that we have conducted on a number of students aged 18-21 years old, it was found that 52.2% of students felt isolated due to a lack of social interaction. In addition, 47.6% of students felt anxiety and loneliness amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, RAMEN is intended to assist students in managing stress and anxiety in the midst of a pandemic.
The first day of RAMEN was filled with a number of webinars on enchanting topics and presented by remarkable speakers. The first material was delivered by dr. Wahyu Setianingsih, M.Kes, who is a representative of Health Office of Central Java. She focused on bringing a topic about 'Mental Well-being in The Time of COVID-19 and The Distribution of Mental Health Cases in Central Java'. dr. Wahyu explained that the prevalence of mental health cases in Central Java increased during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The next material was filled by Alfonsus Bayu Dirgantara, S.Psi, a representative from one of the Mental Health Communities in Indonesia, namely Into the Light. His main topic was about 'How You Fell Inside and Get Started to Know Yourself Better'. He gave some tips to the participants on how to manage stress by doing things that we love and the importance self compassion.
The third material was delivered by a psychiatrist named dr. Afinia Permanasari, Sp.KJ, with the topic on 'How To Manage Stress and Anxiety During COVID-19 Outbreak'. In this session, participants have been told on how we can deal with anxiety especially during this pandemic.
The second day of ‘RAMEN’, the event conducted a Healing Class guided by Cindy Harjatanaya, MA(AThR), she is the Co-founder of ART+i Art Therapy Jakarta and art psychotherapist. The material presented was about ‘Healing through Art’.
By holding RAMEN, we hope that this activity can be beneficial for everyone, especially students, to be able to maintain mental health by doing many positive things. Besides that, we hope that this activity can increase knowledge of mental health which is very important to pay attention to.
