Hello, CIMSA!
World peace day is observed every September 21, the United Nations (UN) has declared this day as a day devoted to commemorating and strengthening the ideals of world peace both within and among all nations. Nowadays, most people in the state have lived a peaceful life without having to feel afraid and anxious about war and other forms of violence. Even so, of course, there are still some countries that are still living under war. To that end, the spirit for peace must remain smoldering.

As we know, most countries in the middle east are still experiencing wars that have a very bad impact on the progress and peace that exist in these countries. Recently, the feud between Ukraine and Russia that emerged eventually became the beginning of some bad things that happened in the world, such as rising oil prices and finally other basic goods also rising so this is bad for some countries. In Indonesia, for example, basic goods have indeed gone up, plus the economy of the people who are still trying to get up after the COVID-19 pandemic has made the suffering of the people even more. Of course, things like war will not only have a bad impact on the present but also on the future. Many families have lost their brothers and sisters, many generations have been cut off from education, and many families have fallen into poverty and suffered because of war. Creating a peaceful world and life is not only done by laying down weapons. This requires a developmental movement from society, where everyone can play a role in the creation of a world where everyone is treated equally, regardless of their race. As we know, racism against race, ethnicity, or skin color is still common in various places. Racism is related to the concept of race in society. The formation of racism can occur if physical differences are considered an important thing in society. Racism can also arise because of differences in terms of psychology, ideology, and economics. This can trigger violence and discomfort in the object of racism. The need for awareness in every community so that acts of racism can be stopped and eliminated forever.

On International Day of Peace, the ringing of the UN Peace Bell at UN Headquarters, New York is carried out to open the International Day of Peace. This bell has the words "Long Live Absolute World Peace". In addition, each country has different celebration traditions. However, in general, they will hold competitions or celebrations containing messages of kindness, peace, and hope for world peace.
