Hello CIMSA!

On 14th of October, Indonesia celebrates National Health Collaboration Day (HKKN) followed by National Doctor’s Day (HDN) on 24th of October. National Health Collaboration Day (HKKN) is a celebration that aims to commemorate the importance of collaboration in health services in Indonesia, whilst National Doctor's Day (HDN) is a celebration that aims to commemorate and redefine the role of doctors and appreciates doctors who have fought for Indonesia's health services. Unfortunately, the level of student awareness of the two commemoration is still lacking. In addition, the appreciation for health workers is still very low compared to the burden they bear due to a lack of awareness of maximizing collaboration between health workers. In order to increase people’s awareness on both issues, coupled with the desire to spread the joy felt as prospective health workers on celebrating our heroes, SCOME CIMSA UI held an event named UNITE (Quality Collaboration in Primary Healthcare).

Before the main events started, UNITE posted an infographics health workers in primary health care, two campaign videos about health collaboration and people’s perception about health workers. UNITE also conducted an online campaign on Instagram which was reposted by a variety of participants from health science cluster students titled “Makna Nakes Untukku,” and an offline campaign where we scooter around in health science cluster building in University of Indonesia to ask people’s perceptions on “Makna Kolaborasi Kesehatan Untukku,

On Saturday, October 15th, 2022, UNITE held its first main event in the form of an online roundtable discussion. The discussion was between five guest speakers from each faculty in the health sciences cluster, which were Dr.dr. Isti Ilmiati Fujiati, M.Sc.CM-FM, M.Pd.Ked, Sp.KKLP from Faculty of Medicine, drg. Kartika Citra Dewi Permata Sari, M.Farm from Faculty of Nursing, and Apt. Kartika Citra Dewi Permata Sari, M.Farm from Faculty of Pharmacy, moderated by our beloved alumni, dr. Rizky Yudha Irawan. The roundtable discussion talk through the effectiveness and quality of collaboration between health workers at primary health facilities in Indonesia. They also shared stories about their memorable experiences in primary health facilities in relation to collaborating with their work colleagues. The discussion encourages the urgency and importance of quality interpersonal health collaboration for a better health service in Indonesia.

On Sunday, October 20th, 2022, UNITE held its second and third main events in the form of online webinar and talkshow. In the webinar, Dr. dr. Dhanasari Vidiawati Sanyoto MSc. CM-FM Sp. DLP, FISPH shared her knowledge upon Accreditation and Quality Assurance on doctors, whether it has been achieved or needed improvement. In it, dr. Dhanasari also talked about the importance of studying effectively as a medical student. The session continued with a talk show with dr. Wulan Ayudyasari, Sp.B, moderated by Nabitha Putriajeng Nuraisya, our alumni, which talked about Indonesia’s health condition in remote areas. dr. Wulan also shared her experiences regarding the exciting part of dedicating one’s lives to realize comprehensive health services in all parts of Indonesia.

By holding DECADE 2022, we hope that medical students will have an improved knowledge about interprofessional health collaboration and increasing awareness towards appreciating health workers’ contribution in Indonesia, particularly doctors. In addition, we also hope health science cluster students could reflect their actions and determine steps necessary to improve their quality as future health workers.
