SOLUTION
(Say No To Malnutrition)
SCOPH CIMSA UI
To commemorate National Nutrition Day 2020, SCOPH CIMSA UI has held an event called Say No To Malnutrition (SOLUTION). SOLUTION consists of two events, an air campaign, and a ground campaign. On January 18th - 25th, 2020, we held an air campaign on Instagram stories with a publication with the theme "4 Nutritional Problems in Adolescence", which consists of anemia, obesity, stunting, and chronic energy deficiency. The publication was a "This or That" game and an infographic. For the air campaign, we held an interview with a nutritionist, Dr. dr. Fiastuti Witjaksono, MS, MSc, SpGK(K) about Obsessive Corbuzier's Diet (OCD). We had the interviewee answer questions we have previously gathered on OCD from netizens on Instagram. The interview was published on January 22th, 2020 in IGTV.
The second event was a ground campaign in collaboration with UPT Puskesmas Sukmajaya Depok. On January 24th, 2020, we held an education about obesity to puskesmas patients who were waiting for their doctors in the puskesmas's waiting hall. The patients vary from youngsters to the elderly. We also evaluated their knowledge by giving them a pre-test and a post-test. The event lasted from 8.00 to 9.00 AM.
Furthermore, together with the people from the community nutrition division of Puskesmas Sukmajaya, we moved to SMP PGRI II Depok to educate female middle school students. SCOPH UI presented material on anemia in young women while the puskesmas provided PHBS "Perilaku Hidup Bersih Sehat" education to students. In accordance with our topic, all of the audience were mostly Grades 7 to 9 students. This education was also evaluated by a pre-test and a post-test. At the end of the session, we did not forget to distribute Fe tablets (blood-added tablets) to the audience and educate them on consumption guidance. The day's program ended at around 11:30 AM and was closed with a group photo.
This year's National Nutrition Day commemoration event introduced us to several new external collaborations who were very accepting of our invitation to work together. Moreover, with a theme that focuses on 4 Indonesian nutrition issues, especially obesity and anemia, we hope that the message can be conveyed and this event can be useful in increasing people's knowledge about it. Hopefully, this event can also be received by people from various age groups and contribute to a healthier Indonesia without malnutrition.
