PERISAI 3rd INTERVENTION

(Persiapan Ujian Bareng CIMSA)

On Sunday, 6th December 2020, CIMSA USU held it’s third intervention of Community Development Project called PERISAI (Persiapan Ujian Bareng CIMSA). Like previous intervention, this intervention was held online using Zoom. In this intervention, we discussed about the 1st Basic Biology of Science which consist of histology, parasitology,  physiology and pharmacology . We began at 2.30 pm and end up at 5.30 pm.

This event was established to help the first year of medical students in Universitas Sumatera Utara to face the midterm exam. Besides, all the organization committee could review their past subject especially to the mentors. Before the intervention, there was standardization for the mentors to make sure they could explain the subject equally to all the participant. 

Most of participants of this 3rd intervention of PERISAI  were former participant from 1st and 2nd intervention which indicate that they were so excited and this event was worthwhile for them. Based on the questionnaire of evaluation, they were very satisfied with the past intervention and without hesitate join the 3rd intervention to prepare theirself for the next midterm exam of 1st Basic Biology of Science.

After the intervention, we found that there was an increase in the participants’ knowledge that can be seen from the pretest and posttest results of the 103 participants. At the pretest, it was found that the average score of participants was 34,13. Meanwhile in the posttest, the average score of participants was 81,81. It can be concluded that there was an increase in the average score of participants’ knowledge by 47,68.

We hope that PERISAI will bring all the participant to doubtless state for face the midterm exam and definitely do the best on the exam and deserve the best result. Last but not least, catch you later on next intervention of PERISAI.
