(Pre-Departure Training)
SCOPE CIMSA-BEM KM FK UNAND
SCOPE (Standing Committee on Professional Exchange) is the only organization that manages Indonesia's largest medical student exchange. SCOPE's most significant work area is managing incomings and outgoings at 140 NMOs in 129 countries around the world that are members of the CIMSA-affiliated IFMSA. SCOPE CIMSA facilitates Indonesian medical students' who have the interest and ability to undertake clerkships abroad by assisting in processing documents and administration required by destination countries that already have contracts with us following regulations. As an exchange facilitator who is concerned about empowering medical students', SCOPE holds an activity that aims to prepare outgoers before their departure. Hopefully, the outgoers can carry out all series of exchanges and possible so that quality outgoers can be formed.
Pre-Departure Training is Training for outgoings to generally provide knowledge regarding the entire exchange process, help them prepare for the exchange, provide information related to the exchange to help them undergo the exchange, and ensure they undergo the exchange well.
On December 19th, 2020, SCOPE CIMSA-BEM KM FK Unand has held Pre-Departure Training for IFMSA Professional Exchange outgoings for 2021-2022. This training was held to prepare the next outgoing candidates before their exchange period.
There had been training about "Pre-Departure Training and IFMSA Database 101" by Annisa Yuda Mahdiyah as LEO for Outgoing CIMSA-BEM KM FK Unand
Then we had a training about "Visa and Insurance" by Wilsen Widal Kho as Vice NEO for External Affairs. There was also a sharing session by M. Gilang Dwi Putra as an ex-outgoers from Italy and Beby Dwi Lestari as an ex-outgoers from Germany.
This activity has a high potential to be continued because it is mandatory by the national SCOPE and urgently needed by outgoing candidates to prepare themselves before departure. In providing material on PDT & IFMSA Database, 14 outgoing candidates were filled in pre-test and post-test. In the pre-test, the average score was 51.42, while in the post-test, there was an increase in the outgoing candidate's knowledge to 85.40.
Hopefully, this activity would be helpful for the outgoings candidates in order to make their dream experiences come true.
