MEGA 2nd INTERVENTION
(Maintaining of Healthy Pregnancy)
SCORA CIMSA UIN SH
During pregnancy, the high maternal mortality rate is one of the most common problems in developing countries, such as Indonesia. Several factors can be caused, including the fulfilling the nutrition of pregnant women and lack of knowledge about ideal maternity conditions, such as distance between pregnancies. Therefore, SCORA CIMSA FK UIN SH created a MEGA community development (Maintaining a Healthy Pregnancy). This community development is implemented to increase pregnant women's knowledge of pregnancy, the nutrients needed when pregnant, and the ideal distance between pregnancies.
The 2nd intervention was held on Sunday, 21st February 2021, which contained a talk show about nutrition needed during pregnancy and the ideal distance between pregnancies conducted through the Zoom Call Meeting and broadcasted live through CIMSA UIN SH's YouTube channel.
For the 2nd intervention, we had a collaboration with two speakers, and there was Dr.dr.Fransisca A. Tjakradidjaja, MS, SpGK as the speaker for nutrition needed during pregnancy, and dr. Nia Reviani, MAPS, as the speaker for the ideal distance between pregnancies and tips on parenting during the COVID-19 pandemic, previously replaced Dr.(H.C.) dr. Hasto Wardoyo, SpOG(K) from Badan Kependudukan dan Keluarga Berencana Nasional which was unable to attend due to important business that can not be replaced with anyone. Before the 2nd intervention, members of SCORA reminded the pregnant women who participated in the 1st intervention about this activity.
The 2nd intervention started at 09.30 WIB, which begins with a pre-test to measure pregnant women's initial knowledge. The first one is from dr. Nia Reviani, MAPS with the topic "The Ideal Distance Between Pregnancies and Tips on Parenting during The COVID-19 Pandemic" and continued by Dr.dr.Fransisca A. Tjakradidjaja, MS, SpGK with the topic "Nutrition Needed During Pregnancy." The participants were very enthusiastic about the second material. They got many questions both through Zoom Call Meeting and CIMSA UIN SH's youtube channel when they opened the QnA session. After the QnA session ended, participants were given a post-test. At the end of the event, all participants were given a door prize that can be taken through KMJ according to their respective pregnant women's consultation place and ended with a photo session together.
The 2nd intervention has gotten positive feedback from the participants, and we are also pleased that there was an increase from pre-test scores to post-test scores. Hopefully, this activity can be useful for all participants who participated in the exhibition and can continue smoothly until the last intervention. We also hope that MEGA can increase the public's knowledge and awareness, especially of pregnant women, about pregnancy's health.
