As the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic sweeps across the world, it is causing a lot of concern and stress, which are normal reactions to the changing situation that everyone finds themselves in. WHO takes the impact of the crisis on people’s mental health very seriously and is monitoring the situation together with national authorities, while providing information and guidance to governments and the public. This year, WHO's World Mental Health Day is "Mental Health for All" which focuses on COVID-19 & Anxiety. Anxiety is a normal reaction to uncertainty and things that may harm us. People worry about their own health and the health of their loved ones. People may also have a lot of concerns around school or work, their finances, their ability to take part in important community and social events and hobbies, and other important parts of their lives. People who already experience a lot of anxiety may find their anxiety worsening. This is a stressful time for everyone, and it's okay if you feel more anxious than usual.

While anxiety is a normal and expected reaction to the pandemic, too much anxiety can start to cause harm. Feeling stressed and fearful every day can effect health and well-being very quickly. There are three psychological problems in the COVID-19 pandemic era, namely anxiety, depression, and psychological trauma. From 2364 respondents, 69% of them have psychological problems and 31% do not show any symptoms of psychological problems. In this study, it was found that women have a fairly high prevalence compared to men in terms of psychological problems in the COVID-19 era, which is around 72% (PDSKJI, 2020). Advances in medical science and technology have made doctors in general and Mental Medicine Specialists in particular able to provide professional health services.

To celebrate World Mental Health Day 2020, SCOPH CIMSA-BEM KM FK UNAND created a community development called MARVEL (Mental Illness Prevention in School). Before starting the intervention to the target, a pre-intervention was held On Saturday september 12th 2020.

We held the 1st intervention where SCOPH members gave material about mental health that focuses on COVID-19 & Anxiety to the “Let’s Talk” and we also did a case roleplay on COVID-19 & Anxiety to increase the capacity building of the cadres. The target of MARVEL is five “Let's Talk” cadres, as well as 30 tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Padang. The purpose of this activity is to increase knowledge and awareness about COVID-19 & Anxiety.
