Children's Day is celebrated annually to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children's welfare. It is celebrated on various dates in a lot of countries. International Children's Day was first proclaimed in Geneva in 1925 during the World Conference on Child Welfare. International Children's Day has been celebrated on June 1 since then in most communist and post-Communist countries. World Children's Day is celebrated on November 20 to commemorate the Declaration of the Child's Rights by the United Nations General Assembly on November 20, 1959. In Indonesia, Children's Day is celebrated on 23 July. It was set as a holiday in 1984.

MARSHMALLOW (Manifest Concern on Kids Health for Malnutrition Around The World) is an event held by SCOPH and SCOPE CIMSA UNEJ to commemorate National Children's Day 2021. CIMSA UNEJ educated the public about the types, causes, impacts, and global conditions of child malnutrition through this series of events. Currently, in Indonesia, child malnutrition is still relatively high and does not depend on the community's economic conditions. According to this fact, we hope that this event can raise public awareness regarding child malnutrition as a global health crisis.

MARSHMALLOW consists of several interventions, including social media campaigns, orphanage visits, webinars, and talk shows. The orphanage visit was held in Panti Asuhan At-Tafakur Jember, and we taught the children about “4 Pilar Gizi Seimbang”. We also had a webinar on July 31st, 2021, with dr. Muhammad Ali Shodikin, M.Kes, Sp.A from RSD dr. Soebandi Jember. He talks about child malnutrition comprehensively from the medical perspective.

The last intervention was a talk show session about Malnutrition Worldwide with Sri Sukotjo, a Nutrition Specialist from UNICEF, and Helga Dyah Vianditasari as Program Manager of Foundation for Mother and Child Health Indonesia. The webinar registrants were around 150 people. According to the numbers, we may conclude that many people are still unfamiliar and curious about child malnutrition. The webinar and talk show went well, and many attendees were participated actively by asking the speakers about the topic. Their active participation indicated their curiosity about this topic.

The orphanage visitation was exciting because the children were active and enthusiastic about studying and playing with us. We taught the children about height charts and how to read for themselves. We are delighted to run this event. We hope we can participate actively in improving children's health as a pioneer of Indonesia's future.
