MANDEH 2.0 2ND INTERVENTION
(SCORA CIMSA Unand in Anticipating Maternal Deaths)
SCORA CIMSA-BEM KM FK Unand
According to WHO, UNFPA, and UNICEF approximately 295.000 women died during and after pregnancy in 2017. Most of these deaths (94%) occurred in developing countries, and most were preventable. Between 2000 and 2017, the Maternal Mortality Rate (the number of maternal deaths per 100.000 live births) fell by about 38% worldwide, from 342 deaths to 211 deaths per 100.000 live births. This figure is still relatively high compared to the 3 points 1 SDGs target “By 2030, reduce the global maternal mortality ratio to less than 70 per 100.000 live births”.
Meanwhile, in Indonesia, according to the 2015 Survei Penduduk Antar Sensus (SUPAS) 2015, the Indonesian MMR ratio is 305 per 100.000 live births with a target of 232 per 100.000 live births in 2021 as stated in the RPJMN Indonesia 2020-2024. Based on the Health Profile of Padang in 2019, there were 16 cases of maternal death in Padang. This number is down compared to 2018, which was 17 cases.
