In 2015, Indonesia was the world's fourth-largest emitter of greenhouse gases. The Indonesian economy is the 16th largest in the world and Southeast Asia. Indonesia has ratified the Paris Agreement while also declaring that it will reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to a specific target by 2030.
The effects of greenhouse gas emissions will alter the earth's natural atmosphere, causing the planet's temperature to rise. According to the WHO, climate change has an impact on social and environmental health determinants such as clean water, drinking water, adequate food, and safe shelter. In addition, certain diseases, such as heart disease, respiratory disease, malnutrition, and infection spread, are becoming more dangerous and even fatal due to climate change.
Every human consumption and production activity emits greenhouse gases (GHG). Carbon dioxide is one of the most significant GHG emissions at the moment. So we have heard of the term "carbon footprint," which refers to the amount of GHG (in units of carbon weight or equivalent to carbon) produced by various human activities. Products consumed daily (usually in the form of food) are examples of this carbon footprint; the more products consumed, the greater the carbon footprint. Thus, the collective impact of the food we eat on animals, the environment, and people is referred to as the footprint.
Therefore, SCORP CIMSA-BEM KM FK Unand designated LOCATE (Limit Food Caring The Environment) to celebrate Earth Day, which falls on April 22, 2021. This activity aims to raise public awareness of foodprint and ways to reduce its environmental and health impact.
LOCATE was held by conducting an air campaign and training. On April 22nd-25th, 2021, an air campaign was created in an Instagram story that shared foodprint and game facts. The goal of this air campaign is to raise public awareness and knowledge about foodprint.

The following series of events was foodprint training for SCORP CIMSA-BEM KM FK Unand members on Thursday, April 29, 2021. Azarine Shidqi Najla, the Human Rights Educator Facilitator of CIMSA-BEM KM FK Unand, led this training. This training is also concluded LOCATE series of events.
We hope that by conducting this activity, people will care more about the impact of food consumption on the environment and climate change. Also, members will have a better understanding of foodprint and will be able to share their new knowledge with others.
