LEOPARD (Let’s Learn Together to Prepare Research and Discover Yourself, Highschoolers!), the last intervention of the tenure, was carried out offline on Saturday, February 25th at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Surabaya, which was attended by curious and enthusiastic high school students whose very eager to learn about research, SCORE CIMSA UNAIR members, as well as skilled and experienced experts as judges.
The last intervention of LEOPARD in this tenure was opened with an opening statement from the Local Coordinator of CIMSA UNAIR, Vanessa Vania Muljo followed by the Vice Community Development Officer of LEOPARD, Calvina Izumarshanda Edelways.
Before the agenda started, the community members were asked to fill out the present form. After that, the public poster presentation started. The committee did a spin wheel to decide on the first presentation. 5 groups present their public posters. All the presentations went well and each of them got feedback from the amazing judges, Putu Bagus Dharma from FORISMA FK Unair, and Richo Andrianto from UKM Penalaran Airlangga University. This small competition gave the students a head-start in the world of research and science competition, making them ahead of their peers with the knowledge they received from the previous interventions and gathering them to create wonderful public posters.
At the end of the presentations, while the judges count their scores, the community members were asked to join the game that the committee have prepared, after that evaluation forms were filled out by the participants from the community as well as CIMSA members. Not for long, the judges announced the winner and there was an awarding for the most active member as well.
We hope that the community members enjoyed and learned a lot from our series of interventions this tenure. Hopefully, we can continue the project in the next tenure with a better start and enthusiasm!
