As a student, having the skills to do scientific work is an important thing to have, especially during college where many assignments are related to it. However to master it requires some training and practice, which can start from high school. One form of scientific work that is easy and fun to learn for high school students is a public poster. Therefore, SCORE CIMSA UNAIR took the initiative to hold a community development called "LEOPARD" which is intended for students from SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Surabaya. LEOPARD stands for Let’s Learn Together to Prepare Research and Discover Yourself, Highschoolers. LEOPARD consists of upgrading, bonding, and 3 interventions that aim to provide basic knowledge and training on public posters, including how to design and present them.

A bonding activity was held on August 14th, 2021, as an initial introduction to LEOPARD. This bonding activity was attended by students from SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Surabaya and SCORE members. There were a lot of fun activities here, starting from a brief explanation regarding LEOPARD and each of its interventions, individual game, and also group game.
The first LEOPARD intervention was held on August 28th, 2021. In the first intervention, participants were given training on "Converting Problem Into an Idea" by Vina Himmatus Sholikhah from UKM Penalaran, Universitas Airlangga. Then to keep the spirit up of the participants, an ice-breaking was held in the form of the game "Guess the Song'' led by the MC. Furthermore, participants received training on "Public Poster 101: How to Make an Ideal One?" by Ega Rischella from FORISMA FK UNAIR.

After two training sessions, participants were divided into 5 groups and went into their respective breakout rooms to start the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) session. In this session, the facilitator leads each group to discuss and determine which posters are ideal and which are not from the examples given.
It is hoped that with the first intervention of LEOPARD, participants will gain new knowledge about determining ideas for public posters and the basics for making ideal public posters so that they can have a better understanding of the following interventions, second and third. We are looking forward to the second Intervention which will discuss public poster design with a trainer from a Canva Creator, Kang Dilan @skuygrafer.
