On March 10, 2021 , as we celebrating International Women’s Day 2021, SCORP X SCORA CIMSA FK Unsyiah held several projects, such as social media campaigns and webinar for the peak of the event.
Our reason for holding this event is about to increase public understanding and awareness of the negative impacts that domestic violence can cause, both directly to victims and to those around them.
In providing education, we did widely open recruitment for public to the entire community to become educational volunteers in our series of events.They are not only learn and earn a new perspective yet relatives about Victim Blaming especially in the field of Domestic Violence, they also help us to share the education content as social media campaigns that are related to Domestic Violence and Victim Blaming to their social media.In aiming to provide challenges to the community as well as additional knowledge about Victim Blaming especially in the field of Domestic Violence through social media campaigns that published by our volunteers.
Still in providing education, we created a campaign through Instagram stories, where volunteers can voice their views on Victim Blaming especially in the field of Domestic Violence as well as invitations to register for webinars on domestic violence and victim blaming.
And finally, on March 13, 2021, we held webinar via Zoom Meeting platform with the tittle “EMBRACE : Ending Domestic Violence For The Better Future To Take A Chance”. In the desire of our goals about this event, from the data, students are the most dominant participants among the others. The speaker talked about the victim blaming phenomenon in the case of domestic violence which was explained by Mrs. Loly Fitri, a gender based violence field officer of UNFPA Indonesia and about the number of domestic violence cases and regulations governing domestic violence, which was explained by Mrs. Valentina Gintings, KEMENPPPA representatives.The webinar starts at 10.00 with a series of events with the presentation of material from both speakers. After that, a question and answer session was given to the participants as an open discussion for sharing things that are still not understood which is also the closing of our event at 13.00.The theme and material we provide in this webinar is victim blaming in the case of domestic violence. This webinar aims to increase public knowledge and awareness regarding victim blaming and domestic violence, as well as the impact on victims and steps that can be taken to eliminate the victim blaming culture, which is still high in cases in Indonesia. At the end of the webinar, the participants increased their knowledge by achieving an average score of 75.88 from the post-test.
