Indonesian Medical Beginners or IMB is a webinar event that is intended as the contribution of SCOME Cimsa FK Unpad’s member to new medical students and senior high school (SMA) in Indonesia.
Indonesian Medical Beginners or IMB is one of SCOME activity that held on 18th of September 2022 via Zoom at 01.00 PM. This activity is held for new medical students and students who are in senior high school (SMA) from all over Indonesia. IMB (Indonesian Medical Beginners) aims to provides an overview of medical education and way to learn effectively . This event was attend by around 70 participants from new medical students and students in high school from all over Indonesia.
This event held with 2 lectures activity in only one intervention (webinar via Zoom). There are “Medical Education 101” by Minhatus Sa’adah, Medical Education Trainer SCOME CIMSA , on this lecture the speaker gives much information about all of Medical School, and various kinds of exams in faculty of medicine, the duration of college time until you graduate as a doctor , in addition to there are also a lecture with title “How to Adapt and Study Effectively in Medical School” by Alfi Afisa Aji, Universitas Padjadjaran Medical Student class of 2019. There are also games session, question and answer session with the speakers so that participants who still want to gain more knowledge can ask anything to the speakers and then the speakers answer the questions from participants.
We also cooperate with externals such as Stem Cell and Bank BTN. And we also promote our event on Media Partners. The Media Partners are Event Center, Info Kampusku, Info Event, and Event Campus.
By held this event, we hope that all new medical students and students in senior high school in Indonesia can find out about all of Medical School in University and and know how to adapt and study effectively in university especially Faculty of Medicine.
