SCORP CIMSA FK UNSYIAH

On December 10th, 2020, we knew as Human Rights Day, SCORP CIMSA FK Unsyiah wants to contribute to strengthening the celebration by SCORP-CIMSA Indonesia by held many projects with the theme of “TIBIA (Talk about Disabilities and Ableism)” to celebrate Human Rights day, such as social media campaigns, training and Live IG. We chose this theme because many people do not know what ableism is, but ableism has always been present in modern cultures, but it rarely turns this off unless pressed into concrete action by outside forces.

We held social media campaigns from December 10th 'til 15th, 2020. We posted about the history of human rights day and the meaning of human rights, according to dr. Agung Prabowo and dr. T. Jauhardin, Sp. BS, who is also SCORP-CIMSA FK Unsyiah members, and an article about Ableism by Raisha Fathima, S. Ked, and a twibbon to celebrate human rights day. We also posted a quiz about Ableism and Disabilities on December 27th, 2020.

On December 26th, 2020, we held a training with topics "Ableism in Human Rights Context" with Human Right Trainer CIMSA FK Unsyiah Raisha Fathima, S. Ked. This training is for SCORP members, but all CIMSA FK Unsyiah members can join this training, including newcomer members.

We also had a small working group in this training to discuss cases involving ableism and disability. The trainees were divided into three groups, and each group discussed different cases in 10 minutes. After discussed each group presented their results of the discussion in front of the trainer and all the trainees. Before the training, there is a pretest to determine how much the trainees know about ableism and disabilities. After the training, there is a postest with the same questions to evaluate how much the trainees understand the training topic.

On December 27th, 2020, the last event we held is Live IG with the interviewees is a program manager of Children, and Youth Disabilities for Change (CYDC), an organization for the disabled in Aceh, Erlina Marlinda, who is also a disabled person and moderator is Rani Salsabila Efendi, a member SCORP-CIMSA FK Unsyiah. From this event, we know disabled also can do anything we did too. Disabled also have the same rights as us, "a normal person." So, please stop underestimate the disabled because disabled does not mean unable.
