Interprofessional Education (IPE) is deemed crucial in equipping healthcare professionals to deliver safe, high-quality, and optimal patient care. IPE provides an environment where learners can demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and attitude required to deal with complex clinical scenarios in a collaborative and interprofessional manner. IPE is the engagement of two or more healthcare professions in an integrated learning environment to foster collaboration and improve health. IPE fosters interprofessional collaboration (IPC), which is often recognized for nurturing a collaborative team approach, resulting in an improved quality of patient care, decreased length of hospital stay, reduced costs of care, and fewer medical errors. However, many healthcare systems are trying to meet the community's health and well-being needs due to disintegration and lack of collaboration in practice. In addition, poor communication among healthcare professionals has been linked with poor patient outcomes.
ICE CREAM (Interprofessional Collaboration Create a Batter Medical Worker) is one of the projects organized by SCOME. In this project SCOME collaborated with HIMAPSI (Himpunan Mahasiswa Psikologi Universitas Sebelas Maret), HIMADAN (Himpunan Mahasiswa Kebidanan Universitas Sebelas Maret), HIMAKESJA (Himpunan Mahasiswa Keselamatab Kesehatan Kerja Universitas Sebelas Maret), HMF (Himpunan Mahasiswa Farmasi Universitas Sebelas Maret), and IYHPS (Indonesian Young Health Professionals' Society).

This project was held with the aim of increase the knowledge of health department students about IPE and IPC due to their low knowledge and lack of interest in IPE and IPC. This project consist of several series of events such as training, air campaign, and group discussions.

In this project, there are two types of training, training for SCOME members and participants, consist of students from the Department of Medical Science, Psychology, Midwifery, K3, and Pharmaceutical. Training for SCOME members was held on March 21st, 2021, and training for participants was held on April 3rd, 2021. The next event was an air campaign held on March 22nd, 2021 - April 2nd, 2021. This air campaign consists of giving fun facts about IPE and games. The next activity is brainstorming through focus group discussions (FGD) held on April 4th – 9th, 2021. After attending the training, the participants hold discussions related to the material which is discussed in training. From this FGD, the results obtained are a project that can support the implementation of IPE and IPC. The last event is a presentation on the brainstorming results, which was held on April 10th, 2021. The group that has the best project will be announced on April 17th, 2021, via Instagram CIMSA FK UNS.
