SCOME CIMSA UKDW
On 24 October 2019, SCOME CIMSA Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana held a photobooth stand in front of tutorial room M3.4 in Makarios building. This photobooth is one of SCOME's projects and part of CIMSA Program Human Resources for Health. This project aims to celebrate National Doctors' Day. Actually, the aim is to not only celebrate but also appreciate doctors in Indonesia, especially in Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana. The locals were given a choice by SCOME National to either hold a photobooth or a seminar with Alura and MSF. However, we chose to do the photobooth as we already have a project called SherU! in which we will hold a seminar. Another reason why we chose photobooth over seminar is that it is easier to hold and it is more interesting than a seminar.
This photobooth started around 10.30 AM and finished around 15.30 PM. This activity took approximately 5 hours. During those hours, the organizing committee prepared the stand and chose the place to hang the banner. Around 10.30 AM, the preparations were done. We let everyone took pictures there. The day before, SCOME members were already given a briefing by the LOME on the mechanism of giving out the merchandise hence on the day, the members were already prepared. They did a good job of giving out the merchandise and livening the photobooth. That day, our tutorial session was finished at around 12.00 am and 15.00 pm. After our tutorial, the SCOME members gave the merchandise and took pictures at the photobooth stand.
The photobooth was visited by around 80 people. However, they were all from the same tutorial. This happened because we didn’t really involve other SCO members, the place wasn't strategic enough and the decoration didn't really enliven the photobooth. The success of this project was seen from the fact that there were more than 50 people came and that the banner met the guideline standards.
At the end of the day, the rundown went well even with a little bit of chaos. The appreciation for the doctors also went well. The doctors were really happy about it. We hope CIMSA UKDW can create more projects that can give more impacts to the people around.
