In Indonesia, without realizing it, food waste has become a very big issue.  This is shown by Indonesia as the second highest producer of food waste in the world. Indonesia's food waste is estimated at 300 kilograms of food waste per person per year (Economist Intelligence Unit, 2017).  Food waste here is the accumulation of food waste which refers to all food products that are not absorbed by consumers in the form of food waste and food loss which refers to food products that are wasted before reaching customers such as crop failure, poisoned fish in the sea, and others.  Because it is still a developing country, there are many factors that can be a source of food waste in Indonesia.  These problems can affect the environment, such as worsening energy consumption, resource use, and increasing the quantity of waste generated so that it can become a social, environmental problem, and can affect costs in the food supply chain.

Therefore, SCORP CIMSA FK YARSI has a Community Development (COMDEV) based activity design which is a forum for members and communities to improve the quality of human resources and participate in increasing community awareness to be more concerned about the surrounding environment, as well as increasing knowledge about how to manage  waste from food waste with a meeting system that is carried out on a scale of three interventions through a zoom meeting which is arranged in an activity entitled Green and Clean. The community members are BM 400 Grade School teachers and other Grade School teachers.

In the first intervention, Syarifa Yurizdiana from Zero Waste Indonesia as a resourcer delivered material about Food Waste. It aims to increase community knowledge and awareness about Food Waste and its impact on the environment which can be measured in increasing the average post-test score by 35% from the average pre-test score.

Community members showed enthusiasm and interest during and after the presentation, evidenced by their active participation through asking and clarify Ng. Results before the implementation of the Intervention I Green and clean webinar, the average pre-test correct answer score is (71.12%) and the average post-test correct answer score is (95.56%). There is a 24.44% rise in correct answers from pre-test to post-test, making this intervention a success.
