The WHO warns that being overweight and obese is the fifth leading risk of death globally. The long-term impact of the COVID-19 crisis includes the increasing prevalence of overweight and obesity due to limited physical activity and the continuous increase in consumption of foods that contain high levels of sugar, salt, and fat. According to 2016 WHO data, more than 1.9 billion people over the age of 18 are overweight, of which 650 million are obese. In Indonesia, the results of Riskesdas 2007-2018 showed an increasing trend, namely 10.5% (2007), 14.8% (2013), and 21.8% (2018). For Jawa Barat, based on Riskesdas in 2018, the prevalence of obesity was ranked 14th out of 34 provinces in Indonesia from 15.2% (2013) to 23% (2018).

Generation Z is facing the dangers of obesity at an alarming rate. Obesity is a public health problem worldwide, especially in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Considering obesity as the gate for various Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD), it is necessary to do prevention and control efforts. Prevention is to balance the amount of energy in with the energy out.
