In commemoration of World Peace Day on September 29, USU CIMSA SCORP held a series of activities called FLAG or For Love and Peace Around the Globe. The activities which were held on 2-3 October 2022 have different targets. These several activities are ground campaign, making an educational video, and recording podcast. FLAG is expected to increase public awareness and knowledge about acts of racism against refugees which still frequently happen in Indonesia.

The FLAG activity started by conducting a ground campaign with the theme "For Love and Peace Around the Globe" which was held at Taman Ahmad Yani Medan on October 2, 2022. This ground campaign aims to inform the public and the wider community that racism is not only experienced by individuals in one range, indeed who have experienced violence in their country and seek refuge in another, can still be subject to racism within the country where they have taken refuge.

During the campaign, the community was displayed with material about racism, refugees & what rights they should have in the countries where they have taken refuge. Individuals are also told ways to stop racism, how to behave with differences in each person. Before the presentation, participants were given a pretest to survey how well they understood the content of the material before it was explained. Then, at the end of the presentation, participants were given a post-test to measure the success of the material presentation. After filling out the post-test, participants were given flyers, stickers and snacks as a thank-you note for participating in the campaign. The educated community was very enthusiastic in this activity, numerous of them gave positive feedback from the material presented by FLAG.

FLAG's next activity is making an educational video which was uploaded on USU's CIMSA instagram on October 2, 2022. The educational video contains how peace can be obtained for all people without exception. Moreover, the last activities of the FLAG event was recording a podcast which was uploaded on USU's CIMSA spotify on October 3, 2022. This podcast activity invited SUAKA  as a resource person. SUAKA is an Indonesian Civil Society Network for Refugee Rights Protection. This podcast explained about the crises experienced by refugees, the rights and commitments of refugees, racist behavior they discover within the country where they take refuge and the impact of the war. Hopefully with this podcast, listeners can be more careful about others, especially refugees and also avoid conflicts that can trigger war.
