In this era of globalization, students as the nation's next generation are expected to continue development in Indonesia. One of the government's efforts to improve the quality of human resources is through education. Unfortunately, the quality of education in Indonesia can be said to still be lagging behind compared to other ASEAN countries such as Singapore and Malaysia. The government's efforts to catch up are to establish cooperation in the field of education by studying educational models from other countries and vice versa. The program to learn about each other's educational models is carried out in the form of student exchanges, teacher exchanges, and curricula. Student exchange programs provide an overview of how students in various parts of the world obtain education and the educational standards that are applied. The Center of Indonesian Medical Student Students Activities (CIMSA) has 2 Standing Committees which have work areas in student exchange programs, namely the Standing Committee on Research Exchange (SCORE) and the Standing Committee on Professional Exchange (SCOPE). Many medical students do not know that CIMSA provides opportunities for medical students to take part in student exchange programs. Based on data from last year, it was found that only a few students registered themselves as outgoing candidates. Therefore, SCOPE and SCORE work together to organize an Exchange Fair to promote and provide information about exchange programs so that interest in exchange can increase.
The Exchange Fair was implemented with the aim of increasing the average knowledge of participants regarding research exchange and professional exchange by 20% in 2 days through sharing sessions and interventions in the form of sharing experience booths measured by increasing pretest and posttest scores by at least 15% after the activity was carried out.
EF consists of several series of activities, starting with a webinar on March 22 2024 via Zoom Meeting which was attended by 23 members of CIMSA FK UNS and medical students. In this pre-activity there will be a sharing session with NEO and NORE regarding research exchange and professional exchange as well as knowledge about health and culture. Then it was continued with a roadshow which was held offline through the UNS Faculty of Medicine on March 24 2024, which was attended by 27 members of CIMSA FK UNS and medical students with an intervention in the form of sharing experiences with research exchange and professional exchange CIMSA FK UNS.
