Hello, CIMSA!
Exchange Fair - Pre Departure Exchange Training (EF-PDET) is a Community Development Program held by SCORE and SCOPE CIMSA FK UNPAD is held to promote the CIMSA-IFMSA Exchange Program in order to increase student interest in joining the student exchange program. This program is named “EXODUS (Explore The Wonder of Intercultural Differences)”. This activity involves a series of interactive workshops, discussions, and field trips that allow participants to explore the cultural diversity of the host country and share their own cultural backgrounds with others. In this activity, CIMSA FK UNPAD invited four speakers to discuss what must be prepared before conducting an exchange and tips when conducting an exchange.
The PDET EXODUS activity is typically organized by universities, cultural organizations, or youth groups. Participants are usually students or young professionals who have a strong interest in intercultural exchange and global issues. The activity is designed to provide a unique learning experience that challenges participants' preconceptions about other cultures and encourages them to develop new perspectives and insights.
EF-PDET held for two days, on April 15-16 2023 this event is held through via Zoom Cloud Meeting In addition to cultural exploration, the PDET : EXODUS activity also promotes dialogue and collaboration among participants. Participants are encouraged to share their own cultural backgrounds and perspectives, as well as to engage in discussions about global issues and current events. Through these interactions, participants develop new friendships and build a network of contacts that can support their future professional and personal endeavors. One of the ways that allow us to gain more knowledge is by studying abroad. Studying abroad has many benefits; one is getting to know the difference between the medical education system, curriculum, medical technology, and the culture between Indonesia and another country.
Overall, the PDET : EXODUS activity provides a valuable opportunity for participants to expand their cultural horizons, develop new skills, and make meaningful connections with people from around the world. It is a powerful tool for promoting intercultural understanding and building a more peaceful and inclusive global community.
We also got positive feedback from the participants. By that, we are hoping the activity gives them truly benefits and useful knowledge to help the outgoings during their exchange. Furthermore, all of the outgoings and participants look so enthusiastic during the training.
