Global warming is a term used for the observed century-scale rise in the average temperature of the Earth's climate system and its related effect. Global warming has become a significant issue that needs to be confronted because global warming has many impacts, such as extreme and unpredictable climate change, and can cause natural disasters such as floods, droughts, tornadoes, and disturb the habitat of flora and fauna.
Global warming is mainly caused by the increasing concentration of greenhouse gases (GHGs). There are several factors in increasing greenhouse gas emissions, namely the greenhouse effect, feedback effect, energy, and forest damage. Speaking of forest destruction, forests are an essential aspect of living things. Forests are the lungs of the world that certainly play a role in the circulation of air on Earth by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen. Forest destruction contributes to 25% of the total increase in CO2 emissions and certainly impacts increasing global warming. Therefore, various efforts are needed to overcome this and prevent global warming.
To celebrate Earth Day in 2021, SCORP CIMSA FK Unila held DIMSUM "Dare to Fight Global Warming and Save The Earth for Human Life." This activity aims to increase public knowledge and awareness about global warming issues delivered on webinars and talk shows. In addition, this activity also aims to invite the community to care more about the environment by planting trees.
Because of the pandemic, this activity was held online on April 10-24th, 2021. The activity began with the challenge of planting trees as a form of global warming prevention efforts on April 10-19th, 2021. Next, there was an air campaign to celebrate Earth Day 2021 through a video compilation of the planting trees challenge and was uploaded on Instagram @cimsaunila.

Moreover, the activity was closed by a webinar and talk show via a zoom meeting that was held on April 24th, 2021. Andi Pananrang delivered the webinar as community officer of #sayapilihbumi with the topic "Global warming and Its Impact."

In contrast, Stanislaus Risadi Apresian delivered the talk show, Ph.D. Candidate in Politics and International Studies, University of Leeds, with the topic "How to Prevent Global Warming."
The topic is critical yet less popular in public. The Earth is the home of human beings and other organisms, and it should always be maintained and preserved. If the Earth is not well preserved, then we will feel the impacts. Therefore, let us take care of our Earth, prevent global warming, and save our future. #RestoreThePlanet #SaveOurFuture
