DIMENSION
(Disaster Management on Specific Actions)
SCORP MMSA UMY
On June 6, 2021, RPCO MMSA UMY carried out an activity named Disaster Management on Specific Actions (Dimension). Until today, knowledge about preparedness before a disaster is still minimally known by the public, formal education rarely teaches this knowledge in the curriculum, so we hold this event hoping that public knowledge related to disasters, especially preparedness in the event of fires and earthquakes will increases. The activity was carried out in internal training and webinar.
The internal training was filled by CHRT SCORP, Athiyya Salma Hamida and the webinar was filled by the expert speakers from Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) DIY, Mr. Drs. Lilik Andi Aryanto, M.Si. as the Head of Prevention and Preparedness of BPBD DIY who brought the material "Learning, Understanding, and Anticipating Fire" and Mr. Budi Santoso S.Psi. M.KM as Coordinator of the Disaster Risk Reduction and Preparedness Division of Muhammadiyah Disaster Management Center (MDMC) who brought material on "Effectiveness of Earthquake and Tsunami Disaster Management". Our theme is Be Prepared for Natural Disaster, which is in line with our theme, namely disaster mitigation or preparedness.
Dimension activities have been carried out well and achieved the target of the participants. The participants during the question-and-answer session were also very well-participated and were very active in asking questions. The total number of participants who attended the Dimension event was 76, consisting of 34 RPCO and Official members as well as 42 participants. The indicator of success is assessed from the increase in participants' knowledge as seen from the results of the post-test and evaluation.
