According to data from the Ministry of Health in 2019, there were 13,683 dengue cases reported from 34 provinces, with 132 patients have died. Updated with data from the Ministry of Health in December 2020, dengue cases were spread in 472 districts/cities in 34 provinces, and deaths from dengue occurred in 219 neighborhoods/cities in Indonesia. The proportion of DHF per age group, among others, <1 year is 3.13%, 1-4 years is 14.88%, 5-14 years is 34.13%, and >44 years is 11.11%.
Based on this background, SCORP CIMSA FK YARSI took the initiative to hold an air campaign for DABEST (Demam Berdarah No, Bersih Sehat Yes). This activity also aims to provide education regarding the prevention and control of larvae in dengue cases. This activity is deemed necessary by the community so that the public knows the importance of preventing and controlling larvae in cases of Dengue Fever to create a clean and healthy environment.
This air campaign consists of crossword puzzles, true or false quizzes, infographics, and educational videos released on Instagram and Youtube CIMSA FK YARSI.
The number of participants who took the crossword puzzle on the Instagram story is 31 people, and True or False on the Instagram story is 24 people. Infographic on the feeds CIMSA FK YARSI's Instagram got 34 likes. Educational video on CIMSA FK YARSI's Youtube channel received 45 views on part one and 51 views on part two. These results indicate that public knowledge about larval prevention and control information is relatively increasing.
By holding this air campaign, we hope that the public can increase their knowledge about the importance of preventing and controlling larvae in cases of Dengue Fever so that the number of Dengue Fever cases in the world, especially in Indonesia, can experience a significant decline.
