CONSTANTINE
(COVID-19 and Its Impact on Human Rights for Vulnerable People in Indonesia)
SCORP CIMSA FK UIN SH & CIMSA-BEM KM FK UNAND
WHO has announced that the COVID-19 virus outbreak had become a global pandemic after some countries worldwide took steps to implement lockdowns and 'stay at home' orders. COVID-19 affects all aspects includes health workers, patients with COVID-19, and also people with disabilities.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, people are at worst ignored, and at worst, they can be thrown away. Due to deep-rooted abilities, society tends to assume that everyone is capable, thus marginalizing anyone who is not. It is essential to realize that the COVID-19 pandemic and the measures implemented to limit the spread of the pandemic have changes to human rights, including the rights of persons with disabilities.
SCORP CIMSA-BEM KM FK Unand and SCORP CIMSA FK UIN SH held an activity entitled CONSTANTINE (COVID-19 and Its Impact on Human Rights Vulnerable People in Indonesia), in the form of a campaign to commemorate Human Rights Day, which is celebrated every December 10. Through this activity, we want to understand the public regarding the impact of COVID-19 on life and health rights against vulnerable people, especially health workers, patients with COVID-19, and persons with disabilities.
