BUNDO 1ST PRE-INTERVENTION

According to WHO, UNFPA, and UNICEF approximately 295.000 women died during and after pregnancy in 2017. Most of these deaths occurred in developing countries, and most were preventable. Between 2000 and 2017, the Maternal Mortality Rate (the number of maternal deaths per 100.000 live births) fell by about 38% worldwide, from 342 deats to 211 deaths per 100.000 live births. This figure is still relatively high compared to the 3 point 1 SDGs target “By 2030, reduce the global maternal mortality ratio to less than 70 per 100.000 live births”.
In Profil Kesehatan Indonesia 2020, the number of maternal deaths compiled from the recording of family health programs at the Ministry of Health in 2020 shows 4,627 deaths in Indonesia. This number shows an increase compared to 2019 of 4,221 deaths.
One of the goals of SCORA CIMSA-BEM KM FK Unand is to reduce maternal mortality through education in women of childbearing age, precisely in the Padang area. Such information from Profil Kesehatan Kota Padang in 2020, found as many as 21 cases of maternal death in 2020 and the number are increased when compared to 2019 (16 people).
Details of maternal deaths consist of 25 deaths of pregnant women 9 people, maternal deaths 3 people and postpartum maternal deaths 9 people. Among the 21 cases of maternal death, 3 of them came from Puskesmas Belimbing, Kecamatan Kuranji. Therefore, SCORA BEM-KM FK Unand without hesitation made an action named BUNDO (Blurring the Doubts to Minimize Maternal Death) in RW 07 Kecamatan Kuranji.
BUNDO is a Community Development held by SCORA CIMSA-BEM KM FK Unand. It has goals to increase awareness and knowledge of women at childbearing age in RW 07 Kelurahan Kuranji, Kecamatan Kuranji, Padang as measured from the increasing pre-test to post-test scores to an average score of at least 75 regarding antenatal care and nutrition during pregnancy.
On 27th August, 2022, SCORA CIMSA-BEM KM FK Unand held BUNDO 1st pre-intervention. In the 1st pre-intervention, SCORA CIMSA-BEM KM FK Unand did an assessment of knowledge and awareness of reproductive women in the RW 07 Kelurahan Kuranji about maternal health through door-to-door interviews by the members. This assessment was carried out to collect primary data about the topic of BUNDO so that this community development runs on target based on data in RW 07 Kelurahan Kuranji.
On 27th of August 2022, SCORA CIMSA-BEM KM FK Unand has done the 1st Pre-Intervention of BUNDO in RW 07 Kelurahan Kuranji.
On this 1st Pre-Intervention, SCORA CIMSA-BEM KM FK Unand did an assessment regarding maternal health issues for childbearing age women in RW 07 Kelurahan Kuranji through door-to-door interview by the members. This assessment aimed to find out the knowledge and awareness of the community about maternal health issues so that this community development runs on target based on data in RW 07 Kelurahan Kuranji.
