BUNDO 2ND PRE-INTERVENTION
SCORA CIMSA-BEM KM FK UNAND
BUNDO (Blurring the Doubts to Minimize Maternal Death) is a community development held by SCORA CIMSA-BEM KM FK Unand at RW 7, Kelurahan Kuranji, Kota Padang. BUNDO seeks to reduce maternal mortality through education about Antenatal Care and the importance of nutrition during pregnancy in women of childbearing age at RW 07 Kuranji, Padang.
The number of maternal deaths collected from the family health program record at the Ministry of Health in 2020 showed 4,627 deaths in Indonesia. This number represents an increase compared to 2019 of 4,221 deaths. (Indonesia Health Profile 2020).
According to the Padang City Health Profile in 2020, there were 21 cases of maternal deaths in 2020 and this number increased when compared to 2019 (16 people). The details of maternal deaths consist of 25 deaths of 9 pregnant women, deaths of maternity mothers of 3 people and deaths of postpartum mothers of 9 people. Among the 21 cases of maternal death, 3 of them came from the Belimbing Health Center, Kuranji District. In detail, there is 1 case of death of pregnant women aged >35 years, 1 case of death of maternity mother aged >35 years and 1 case of death of postpartum mother aged 20-34 years.
On August 28th and September 3rd, 2022, SCORA CIMSA BEM KM FK Unand held its 2nd pre-intervention. The 2nd pre-intervention held for 2 days offline located in A1 building of the Faculty of Medicine Andalas University and online using zoom meeting. The 2nd pre-intervention is the provision of material to members related to maternal health. The first material was given by Yuni Andra, SKM.MM as the head of Public Health Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Yuni Andra, SKM.MM gave a material about the role of medical students in reducing maternal mortality.
The second material was given by prof. Dr. dr. Yusrawati, Sp.OG (K) as staff in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Faculty of Medicine, Andalas University. Prof. Yusra gave material about The importance of antenatal care in early detection of high-risk pregnancies.
The third material was given by PETRA, namely Atshyfa Zsazsa Dira. The material explains about The Importance of Maternal Nutrition during pregnancy.
