BUNDA GEULIS
(Berantas Stunting dengan ASI Eksklusif, Imunisasi, dan Sanitasi)
SCORA & SCOPH CIMSA FK UNPAD
As in the previous year, this year, SCOPH and SCORA CIMSA FK Unpad participate in supporting the campaign about ‘The Importance of Breastfeeding, Immunization and Sanitation in preventing stunted children’. This year, SCOPH and SCORA CIMSA FK Unpad continue their community development with the target, cadres in Desa Jatiroke, Jatinangor. The activity that has been held since 2018 is packaged in an activity called "BUNDA GEULIS" (Berantas Stunting dengan ASI Eksklusif, Imunisasi, dan Sanitasi).
In conducting the BUNDA GEULIS project, we will have three interventions. The first intervention is to conduct a bonding session which was held on 9th – 12th September 2020. The second intervention is held on 19th September 2020 with material about ‘Sanitation’. On 26th – 27th September 2020, the 3rd intervention will be held with the material about ‘Exclusive Breastfeeding and Complete Basic Immunization’. In this session, there will be the closing of BUNDA GEULIS project.
First Intervention of Bunda Geulis through WhatsApp Group
In order for this community development to run well, there needs to be an approach between CIMSA FK Unpad and the target. Therefore, the first intervention of Bunda Geulis project focused on bonding with the target. The bonding was carried out for four days with an asynchronous method by using the WhatsApp group. On the first day, there was an introduction session of ‘Bunda Geulis’ and continued with the game called ‘Guess the Picture’ at 16.00. On the following day, we held the game ‘Guess the Picture’. Then, on the 3rd day, it started at 16.30 with the game called ‘Jumbled Letter’ and ‘Guess the Emoticon’. On the last day of the 1st intervention, the event started at 09.00. It was opened by the project Officer of Bunda Geulis, Hana Rifda Hanifa and a representative from the Desa Jatiroke’s Cadres, Mrs. Cucu Sumiati. Then, we played ‘Myth or Fact’ game. The series of games in the 1st intervention raised the topic about ‘Raising Awareness in Preventing Stunting’ and there were door prizes vouchers of IDR 50,000 for cadres who won each game. It was done to increase the enthusiasm of the cadres in undergoing the Bunda Geulis project.
Member bonding with the target
Although we were unable to meet directly because of the COVID-19 Pandemic, we were still able to approach the cadres by using technology. We hope, by taking this approach, we can build a sense of belonging among the cadres of Bunda Geulis project. So that it can make easier for cadres to understand and apply the topics that will be given in the next intervention.
