Every year on December 1st, 1988, known as World AIDS day, which Is an International day dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV Infection and mourning those who have died of the disease. This year, SCORA CIMSA FK UIN SH held BREEZE (Breaking The Stigma Towards People with HIV & AIDS) In celebrating World AIDS day 2020.
On November 28th, 2020, we held a recording of a podcast. This podcast was posted on Instagram and Spotify on December 5th, 2020. We want to celebrate World AIDS Day and promote our webinar differently, which is a podcast. This podcast was hosted by LORA CIMSA FK UIN SH and VICE LORA CIMSA FK UIN SH to talk with dr. Ratna Mardiati, Sp.KJ(K) from Angsa Merah Clinic. This talk about the challenge of treating PLWHA during the pandemic COVID-19, how to solve the negative stigma of PLWHA in public, and many more.
Two weeks after the podcast have posted, on December 17th, 2020, we held LPET for the student in FK UIN Syarif Hidayatullah for a batch of 2020, 2019, and 2018. This event talks about HIV & AIDS and primary peer education. The first topic, which talked about Basic Peer Education, was delivered by Faresha Amanda as PETRA. The second one, discussed HIV & AIDS, was delivered by Nurul Izzah as PETRA.
To end the World AIDS Day series, we organized an open public Talk Show: BREEZE, on December 19th, 2020, and brought HIV & AIDS as the main topic with "Knowing the truth of HIV & AIDS, break the stigma" as a theme. We have two speakers, Sandi Lesmana from YAIDS (Yayasan AIDS Indonesia) and Hartini from IPPI (Ikatan Perempuan Positif Indonesia). This talk show was followed by a QnA session with the participants that looked very active.
Special gratitude was sent to our moderator and senior, Robby Franata S.Ked, who helped us guide the speakers. At the end of the event, we gave the speakers and moderator certificates, and we did a group photo session with the participants.
We are also grateful that many people participated in this webinar. We hope that BREEZE will impact their daily life and increase their awareness of HIV & AIDS.
