BRAVEST
(Breast and Cervical Cancer Awareness Month)
SCORA CIMSA UI
Based on global data, about 18 million cancer cases occurred in 2018. The estimated 9.5 million cases are in men and 8.5 million cases in women. Based on World Cancer Research Fund International data, the most common cancers women experience are breast cancer (1st) and cervical cancer (4th). Breast cancer contributes 25.4% and cervical cancer by 6.9% to new diagnosed cases. In Indonesia, these two cancers became cancers with the highest incidence of number 1 and 2 for women. This phenomenon shows still a lack of awareness and understanding of Indonesian women about the dangers of breast cancer and cervical cancer. Primary assessment SCORA CIMSA UI also shows the urgency of awareness of breast and cervical cancer in Indonesian people.
