Don't you know that a whole month of October known as Breast Cancer Awareness Month? People around the world have celebrated this for years in order to show their support on people who affected by breast cancer and also to raise awareness people about this most common cancer in the women worldwide. This year, SCORA CIMSA FK UIN SH held BATARA (Breast Cancer Talk with SCORA) in celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2020.
On October 14th 2020, we held an air campaign in the form of TikTok Challenge on Instagram. We educated in fun way by provide brief information about breast cancer and promote our webinar. We shared it in our official Instagram account and engaged people to create their own TikTok videos. Surprisingly, there was a lot of people remade this TikTok videos and uploaded it in their own Instagram stories.
One week after TikTok Challenge campaign, On October 25th 2020, we held ‘BATARA’, an open public and free registration webinar that brought breast cancer as main topic with ‘Finding The Cure Starts with Hope’ as theme. The event was opened by the MC then continued with speech by Project Officer, LORA and LOCO CIMSA FK UIN SH. We have two speakers, dr. Abdul Rachman, Sp.B(K)Onk from PERABOI (Perhimpunan Dokter Spesialis Bedah Onkologi Indonesia) who delivered the first topic: SADARI and SADANIS and Mrs. Mariaty Sitorus as Breast Cancer Survivor who shared about her experience when she was suffering with breast cancer. The presentation followed by QnA session with the participants that looked very enthusiastic and active during the session. A special gratitude sent to our moderator and also senior, Reyfal Khaidar Irfiansyah, S.Ked, who helped us to guide the speakers. There were also pre-test and post-test in the beginning and after QnA session.
At the end of the event, we gave certificates to the speakers and moderator, continued by an announcement of three lucky participants who got the Go-Pay voucher and we did a group photo with the participants.
We are so thankful and grateful that many people participated in this webinar. The participants gave us a very good feedback and there was also an increasing on participant's knowledge based on post-activity assessment. We hope that BATARA will give an impact on their daily life and can increase their awareness of breast cancer.
