BACK TO 90s
SCORA MSCIA UB
Back To 90's is an annual event under the Department of Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights incl. HIV & AIDS (DORA) of MSCIA. It is held in the celebration of World AIDS Day. The whole chain of events starts on Day 1, October 31, 2020, where we worked with our partners, Yayasan AIDS Indonesia (YAIDS) and Youthizen to train and lecture KOPHA (Komunitas Orang Peduli HIV/AIDS) – DORA MSCIA Brawijaya University’s community development consisting of high school students in the city of Malang – around the disease and most importantly, how to live among and with PLWHA (People Living With HIV/AIDS) and The Importance of Reproductive Health Knowledge for Adolescents. Not only that, but we also held games with prizes and more. All the participants seemed enthusiastic during this event.
On November 29, 2020, BACK TO 90's Webinar was successfully held via ZOOM Meeting. We worked with UNAIDS to lecture about Early Steps to Prevent The Dangers of HIV/AIDS delivered by Bagus Rahmat Prabowo, dr, MscPH as the Prevention Technical Officer of UNAIDS.
Not just that, we also worked with a renounced dermato-venereologist in Malang from MalangCare to give a lecture about the Role of Sexually Transmitted Disease in The Spread of HIV/AIDS delivered by Dr. dr. Dhelya Widhasmara, Sp.KK(K), FINSDV for the general public who came to the Webinar.
To close Day 2, we also held an intimate sharing session with a PLWHA (People Living With HIV/AIDS), Kak Dhizzy Aprilio from Netral Plus Indonesia, so the general public who came have their first experience with them.
On December 1, MSCIA UB posted an air-campaign video – containing the support and efforts of KOPHA (Komunitas Orang Peduli HIV/AIDS) – DORA DORA MSCIA Brawijaya University’s community development and MSCIA Members to educate their closest people in order to reduce negative stigma around PLWHA (People Living With HIV/AIDS). We also posted an Instagram filter, crowdfunding for Yayasan AIDS Indonesia, a Podcast, and a petition as an effort to reduce stigma around PLWHA (People Living With HIV/AIDS). We hope BACK TO 90s can educate the public about HIV/AIDS to eliminate the negative stigma.
