ATTENTIVE 3rd INTERVENTION
(Avoid Dengue with Preventive Measure)

RW 08, Bandungrejosari, is one of the hamlets with a dense residential level. There, people's houses are close to each other and there are also very limited vacant lands. According to data from the Health Service of the Republic of Indonesia, East Java is the province with the highest incidence of dengue hemorragic fever (DHF) in Indonesia, and the city with the highest prevalence in East Java is Malang City. Bandungrejosari Village is the area in Malang City with the highest prevalence of dengue fever (DHF).
Therefore, on June 12th, 2021, we DOPH MSCIA UB held COMDEV ATTENTIVE (Avoid Dengue with Preventive Measure) with the aim of increasing public knowledge about dengue fever more deeply and training soft skills and hard skills of cadres. COMDEV ATTENTIVE 3rd Intervention was carried out through a Whatsapp group chat. At the 3rd Intervention, we carry a theme entitled “Prevent Dengue Development, Realize Starting from Yourself”. We gave 2 materials to the cadres, namely "Management of Household Waste to Prevent DHF" which was presented by Certified Novice PHL as well as LPO MSCIA UB 2021/2022 namely Cynthia Mahira Fachri and "Oviposition Trap" presented by VLI MSCIA UB 2021/2022 namely Afifah Riqqa Ardila. The cadres were very enthusiastic and actively asked questions that they needed time extension for the QnA session.
In addition, we also held an educational games called “Guess Who I Am!” about DHF where the cadres had to guess the pieces of the picture given by the committee related to DHF. At the end of the event there was 1 cadre who won the game and got a prize. In this COMDEV ATTENTIVE 3rd Intervention, we also announce the winner of #NOMOREDENGUECHALLENGE which was given until 4 weeks after the 2nd Intervention was held. There was 1 winner who was the fastest and most diligent in working on a logbook about DHF every week. COMDEV ATTENTIVE 3rd Intervention is the last COMDEV ATTENTIVE series this year. In addition, we also trained the skills of the cadres by making Ovitrap or Mosquito Trap from household waste from the material we convey. The making of the Ovitrap was carried out until h+5 from the implementation of Intervention 3. After making the Ovitrap independently, the cadres were asked to take a photo with their Ovitrap and post it on Snap Whatsapp with the Ovitrap Poster that we provided. We also made this Ovitrap skill a competition for the cadres so that the cadres became more enthusiastic in making Ovitrap. We hope that COMDEV ATTENTIVE can add insight to cadres and increase awareness of cadres to prevent DHF.
