(Airlangga Brawijaya Virtual Exchange)

SCOPE&SCORE CIMSA UNAIR&MSCIA UB

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in limitations in educational activities, including student exchange activities that cannot be carried out offline between countries, besides that disease trends in tropical countries are growing, and also an update on basic life support is needed during the pandemic.

SCOPE & SCORE CIMSA Universitas Airlangga and DOPE & DORE MSCIA Universitas Brawijaya took the initiative to hold a program called “ARRIVE” with the tagline let's move towards the future, together, we'll arrive. This program is a student exchange that was held online to conduct student exchange activities that is usually  done offline before the pandemic. ARRIVE facilitated students from all NMOs Affiliated in IFMSA to gain knowledge about malaria and basic life support.

ARRIVE activities began with pre-event activities which were carried out for two days,  on July 7thand July 8th, 2021. The pre-event activities on the first day were filled with training on "How to be a Good Contact Person" by Saraswati Retno Gumilang and Gabriela Christalitha, while the second day of the pre-event was filled with training on "Cultural Understanding and Global Health" by Gyang Hanandita Gusti Putri.

ARRIVE continued its main event which was held on July 14th- July 15th, 2021 and July 21st, 2021 - 22nd, 2021. Activities carried out during the main event on July 14th, 2021 included Lecture of Tropical Medicine on malaria, which was delivered by dr. Lynda Rossyanti, M.Ked.Trop and continued with a cultural sharing session.

Activities carried out on the second day of the main event were Problem Based Learning Sessions and Live Demo Basic Life Support by Nabeel Usama Okbah. Activities on July 21st, 2021, the third day of the main event were Mini-OSCE and PBL presentations.

The activities on the last day of ARRIVE were the presentation of practical reports as well as farewell parties and awarding.

It is hoped that through this virtual exchange activity (ARRIVE) the committee and participants can get something new such as experience, relations, and knowledge that are useful. Thus, we could say that in the future virtual exchanges can be used as a means to fill the exchange activities despite the current pandemic conditions. ARRIVE, “together we move, together we learn, together we'll arrive at the better future!”.
