Acute Hepatitis with unknown cause was first discovered in the United Kingdom on April 5, 2022. Since then, an increase in cases has been reported in Europe, Asia, and America. WHO further defined Acute Hepatitis as an Extraordinary Event (KLB) on April 15, 2022. Therefore, SCOPH & SCOPE CIMSA FK Unpad held ANTIS (Acknowledge More About Acute Hepatitis of Unknown Aetiology) that aims to increase public knowledge and awareness, especially among parents and students, regarding acute hepatitis, which is a world health problem today. The method used for this activity is a talk show with “Government Action and Global Response regarding to Acute Hepatitis of Unknown Aetiology” as the main topic. The series of activities consist of volunteering, webinars, talk shows, and a ground campaign.
The first activity is ANTIS Volunteers Welcoming Party, held on August 19, 2022. This activity consisted of an introduction to ANTIS, distribution of volunteer groups, and games to prepare volunteers in a series of ANTIS activities. On August 20, 2022, ANTIS held the second activity, Webinar ANTIS: Exciting Talk of Acute Hepatitis with Experts, presented by Dr. Ina Rosalina, dr., Sp.A(K), M.Kes., MHkes as the speaker in this webinar. This activity consists of a presentation of material related to acute hepatitis from speaker and QnA session with webinar participants. On August 28, 2022, SCOPH X SCOPE CIMSA FK Unpad held ANTIS Upgrading Volunteers by inviting an Expert CIMSA-Certified Trainer, Alifiansyah M as a speaker. This activity consisted of the presentation of the materials to improve the capability of the volunteers to communicate during the ground campaign and included a focus group discussion (FGD) session with volunteer groups.
Talkshow ANTIS: Learn and Avoid Acute Hepatitis of Unknown Aetiology with The Experts! held on August 30, 2022, moderated by Cynthia Arista with Dr. B. B. Rewari (WHO) and dr. Fatcha Nuraliyah, MKM (Kemenkes RI) as the speaker in this talk show. This activity consists of the presentation of material related to acute hepatitis from the speaker, a talk show session, QnA session with talk show participants.
The next activity was an offline ground campaign with ANTIS volunteers held On September 3rd, 2022. The ground campaign, which was held in the Alun-alun Kota Bandung, aims to increase public knowledge regarding acute hepatitis of unknown aetiology, ranging from what acute hepatitis is, its risk factors, to the prevention of acute hepatitis. Through this ground campaign, ANTIS has reached out to approximately 100 general public to improve their understanding of acute hepatitis.
As the closing of the series of activities, ANTIS held a farewell party with volunteers. The farewell party will be held on September 9, 2022, starting with the screening of the after movie and ending with awarding volunteers.
