AMOEBA is a local CIMSA UNSOED Community Development which raises the topic of preventing diarrhea by implementing the 5 pillars of “Sanitasi Total Berbasis Masyarakat” (STBM) with the target of being a cadre in the RW 8 Arcawinangun area. For meetings per intervention discuss one STBM point and its implementation is continued at the next meeting. The intervention material is summarized in an educational poster that has previously been compiled according to the topic presented, namely Household Food and Drink Management. The content of this educational poster emphasizes the implementation of daily food and beverage management which is usually done at the household level. Some of the subtopics contained in the poster include selection of food ingredients, food storage, processing, transportation, and food serving. The intervention began with the distribution of pre-test questions distributed through google form media, then continued with the material in the form of posters and voice recordings, then ended with the distribution of post-test questions. In this online intervention, an educational video about the prevention of COVID-19 is also presented, which includes application in daily activities.
The community of RW 8 Arcawinangun as a whole is open and enthusiastic in participating on AMOEBA intervention events and also in their area, there are often outreach events from the puskesmas and other parties so that the programs that will run, support each other to create a healthy community environment. However, in this current pandemic situations public enthusiasm tends to decline and is hampered by the media in delivering insufficient interventions. In the future, the community also hopes that every AMOEBA intervention will have a positive impact and can slowly change their environment for the better.
With this intervention, we hope that the community of RW 8 Arcawinangun will understand about the implementation of the pillars of household eating and drinking management to prevent diarrhea and other environmental-based diseases, and also be enthusiastic about participating in the program of the AMOEBA CIMSA UNSOED Community Development.
