In this era of technological advancement, the use of technology, especially gadgets, has increased. Users of this gadget vary from children to adults. Based on a survey from KPAI, 71.3% of children have their own gadgets and this is a fairly large number. Therefore, the use of gadgets in children needs to be considered because we know that gadgets do not only have a positive impact but also a negative impact on children.
To address this issue, SCOPH and SCOPE CIMSA UNEJ held an activity called AFFECTER (Health Effects of Excessive Gadget Use in Children). This activity was held to commemorate National Children's Day 2022.
On August 10, 2022, we uploaded a video talk show on YouTube CIMSA Universitas Jember about the “dangers of gadgets and the role of parents”. This talk show was very special because we invited speakers from India, namely dr. Rhea Rajkumar who is a medical student from India. This talk show has reached more than 100 viewers.
