Since many years ago, IFMSA Exchange Program has become one of the biggest exchange platforms run by students. It has been our goal to break borders between medical students all over the world, develop their skills and way of thinking, and also to create intercultural understanding and cooperation amongst medical students and health progessionals.
We facilitate more than 13.000 medical students every year to be exposed to the experience of being global medical students. We believe that the good impact created from our program isn’t only in the present, but also in the future. The fact is that, according to Martin Tillman from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), the educators of the world are beginning to recognize that students that have been exposed to studying abroad have enhanced skills essential for their career, and also better vision of their future career goals1. Therefore, we are eager to spread the word even more, in order to have the skillful and open-minded future doctors that the world truly need.
