Call for IFMSA Delegations to the 63rd Session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women

Dear medical students of Indonesia, we are very excited to announce that the registration for the 63rd Session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women is now open!
 
What is the 63rd Session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women?
The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is the principal global intergovernmental body exclusively dedicated to the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women. The CSW is instrumental in promoting women’s rights, documenting the reality of women’s lives throughout the world, and shaping global standards on gender equality and the empowerment of women. The priority theme of CSW63 is social protection systems, access to public services and sustainable infrastructure for gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls.

This year’s event will take place in New York, USA, on 11-12 March 2019.
 
 
Selection Criteria
 • Experience in the area of sexual and reproductive health and rights: gender activism and the priority theme of the event.
 • Understanding of IFMSA’s external work, including policy work, advocacy and partnerships
 • Plans for the contribution to the delegation in the preparation, the on-site actions and the follow-up of the meeting
 • Regional representation and gender balance
