CALL FOR IFMSA DELEGATIONS TO THE 52ND SESSION OF THE UN COMMISSION ON POPULATION AND DEVELOPMENT

Dear medical students of Indonesia, we are very glad to inform you that the registration for the 52nd Session of the UN Commission on Population and Development is now open!

What is the 52nd Session of the UN Commission on Population and Development?
A Population Commission was established by the Economic and Social Council in its resolution 3 (III) of 3 October 1946. It plays the primary role in the follow-up to the implementation of the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) and monitors, reviews and assesses its implementation. In CPD52, the 25-year-anniversary of the ICPD and its contribution to the follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development will be in the focus.
This year's event will be held in New York City, USA, on 1-5 April 2019.
 
Selection Criteria
•    Experience in the area of sexual and reproductive health and rights: reproductive health and family planning.
•    Understanding of IFMSA’s external work, including policy work, advocacy and partnerships
•    Plans for the contribution to the delegation in the preparation, the on-site actions and the follow-up of the meeting
•    Regional representation and gender balance
