Dear medical students of Indonesia, hope you are doing well.

We are happy to open the call for the IFMSA delegation to the 73rd Session of WHO Regional Committee for South-East Asia

What is the 73rd Session of WHO Regional Committee for South-East Asia?
There are six regional offices under the structure of World Health Organisation. The member states in each region will convene once a year, usually in Autumn, and discuss about the regionalisation of WHO tasks and issues of regional focus. The WHO Regional Office for Southeast Asia is one of our counterparts in IFMSA Asia-Pacific region and it usually invites IFMSA to send a delegation as a Non-State Actor to the Regional Committee for South-East Asia Region (SEARO).

This year, the Regional Committee will be virtualized and shortened to 2 days due to COVID-19 pandemic. It will be held on 9th-10th of September 2020.

Please also be reminded that applicants from the NMOs that are in WHO South-East Asia region will be prioritised in this selection. See the link for the country list here.

Kindly fill out the application form and upload the candidature form, signed and stamped by the NMO President, by 25th August 2020.
